Welcome to our Baby Product Guide! We’ve done the hard part and personally tried and tested these products so you don’t have to. Every item on this list has earned its spot by making the newborn chaos just a little easier.

1. One of our must-have baby products is a sound machine – specifically the Hatch Rest Baby. This is not your ordinary sound machine. Besides 11 calming sleep sounds, it also has a customizable nightlight, which is perfect for middle of the night wake-ups. The Hatch can be controlled with a user-friendly smartphone app, which lets you turn it on and off, adjust the volume and light, and set up schedules. And the Hatch isn’t just for newborns! As your baby grows into a toddler, you can use it as an ok-to-wake clock. It uses colors to help teach your child when it is time to sleep and when it’s “ok to wake.” It’s a total game changer, I love it so much that I have one in each of my kids rooms and would absolutely buy again.
2. The sheer amount of baby gear can feel overwhelming. But if there’s one baby essential that every parent swears by, it’s the humble muslin burp cloth. We love this choice from Amazon. They are soft, durable, and come in tons of adorable colors. Trust us – if you’re stocking up on baby essentials, these muslin burp cloths should definitely be at the top of your list.

3. Caring for a newborn is a round-the-clock job, and sometimes you just need your hands free! This KeaBabies Baby Wrap Carrier helps you keep your baby close and happy while freeing up your hands to take care of older kiddos, do work around the house, or grab a bite to eat. It also worked wonders to soothe our fussy babies and lull them to sleep.
4. The Boppy Pillow is a must-have item you will be so glad you bought! I tried a few other breastfeeding pillows on the market and this one is by far my favorite. Whether you’re breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, the Boppy keeps you and your baby more supported and comfortable. It’s not just used for feeding – it is also a great tool to use for tummy time and helping your baby learn to sit up as they grow. My babies loved to be propped up in the Boppy in front of a mirror for endless entertainment.

5. A Portable Diaper Caddy will help with a newborn so much easier! Wherever you are changing your baby, the diaper caddy keeps all the essentials within arms reach. We love this caddy because it is large enough to store all the necessities, has long handles, and would look adorable in any nursery. We also love the idea to use it as a gift basket filled with your favorite baby items for the perfect baby shower gift.
6. Trimming a newborn baby’s nails is incredibly nerve-wracking. Make your life easier and buy this Electric Nail File for all your baby’s manicure needs. It is gentle, safe, and comes with attachments for older kids and adults too. Ready for a pro tip? File your baby’s nails down while they are sleeping to avoid fighting wiggly fingers! This electric nail file is super quiet and wont wake them.

7. Both of my babies loved the First Years Convertible Bathtub. This tub actually has a tiny baby hammock inside that helps newborns feel snug and secure. When your baby gets older, you can take out hammock and just use the supportive tub. It’s also easy to clean and lightweight, which makes it a super practical choice for parents.
8. This lovely product is affectionately known as “the booger vacuum” in my home. I was an avid Nose Frida user for years, but I got tired of trying to inhale violently while holding down a squirming baby. I decided to invest in the Dr. Nozebot Nasal Aspirator and it has been a lifesaver! It has hospital grade suction, which is three times stronger than other electric nasal aspirators on the market. The Dr. Nozebot was even recommended by my child’s pediatrician when she got RSV and he was thrilled that we were already using it.

9. The OXO Drying Rack is such a handy tool for keeping the bottle chaos under control! This particular drying rack takes up such little space, but it holds up to 9 bottles! This drying rack helped me feel a lot less overwhelmed with counter clutter.
10. The Graco Simple Sway Swing is a parent favorite! When my first baby hated another popular swing, we decided to give this one a try and she loved it. It’s so durable that I used it for my second baby and even let a family member borrow it for their baby. It has a cozy seat, 6 swing speeds, 15 songs and sounds, and it vibrates.

Every item in this guide has been tried, tested, and loved by us! These picks have truly earned their place by making life with a newborn a little more manageable.
